No. 20 Washington Loses Third Straight

Feb 6, 2011 9:45 AM

Oregon defeated No. 20 Washington 81-76 on Saturday afternoon, sending the Huskies to their third straight loss.

Washington's previous losses came against Washington State and Oregon State.

"Our guys are frustrated, no doubt," Washington coach Lorenzo Romar said. "We had high aspirations in our minds, hopefully to win the league outright. I don't know if that's going to be able to happen at this point."

Landen Lucas Doesn't Regret Transfer To Findlay

Feb 2, 2011 3:59 PM

Transfering from Sunset (Oregon) to Findlay College Prep was an opportunity Landen Lucas felt he couldn't pass up.

Lucas left Sunset after his sophomore season and will be in attendance on Friday to watch his former team. Sunset would have been considered a contender for the Class 6A state championship had he remained at the school.

"I'm not going to lie. That weighs on you," Lucas said by telephone. "I really believe we could have had a chance to win a state championship. But I have to remember that we have a chance to win a national championship at Findlay. It's hard, but you have to look ahead."

Lucas didn't go to Findlay for exposure, as it was about preparing for college.

"If I had to make the choice again, I would still do it," Lucas said. "I wanted a new challenge, to push myself and get prepared to go college a year or two ahead of everyone else. (Findlay players) come out of here and make an immediate impact in college because they're so far ahead of everyone else."

As for his college decision, Oregon State and Oregon remain contenders.
